As part of Medics' efforts to support injured and sick Palestinian people present in the Arab Republic of Egypt, by the grace of God two prosthetics projects have been completed, culminating in the delivery of 4 prosthetic limbs to four of our injured people from the Gaza Strip, who suffered amputations in the lower limbs.
These limbs were not merely devices handed over to beneficiaries, but a step toward regaining mobility, enhancing independence, and recovering part of the daily life changed by injury. The project included the stages of assessment, measurement, preparation, and fitting, along with follow-up and rehabilitation to ensure the limbs were suitable and effective in use.
We are proud that these efforts come within Medics' vision to respond to the medical and humanitarian needs of injured and wounded Palestinian people, and to work to turn medical support into a tangible impact that accompanies the beneficiary on their path toward recovery, adaptation, and self-reliance.
At Medics, we believe that care is not limited to treatment, but extends to restoring the ability to move and continuing life with dignity.
