Project Details

The project focuses on renovating and equipping the government-run Al-Hurriya Primary Health Care Center, located in Gaza Governorate, specifically in the eastern Gaza area between the Al-Daraj, Al-Tuffah, and Al-Zaytoun neighborhoods in the Al-Mashaharah district, a very densely populated area that lacks primary health care services. During the recent war, it was used as a shelter center, which caused it to go out of service on 18 / 04 / 2024.

The center provides its services to every patient who needs treatment in primary health care clinics, including emergency cases and others.

According to the annual report statistics for 2022, the number of visits to primary health care clinics at the Ministry of Health exceeded 60,000 visits per health center in Gaza City, including Al-Hurriya Center in the pre-war period, while this number doubled as a result of the waves of displacement and forced uprooting imposed by the Israeli army on various areas in Gaza. This project comes to meet the growing need for primary health care services in Gaza City as a result of these medical centers going out of service during the recent war, with the aim of ensuring the continuity of health services for the residents of Gaza City.
