Project Details

Since the outbreak of the war in Sudan, millions of displaced people and affected families have been living in a tragic health situation, amid damaged hospitals and health centers, a severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies, and difficulty accessing essential treatment services. In remote areas and displacement sites, a simple illness can turn into a life-threatening danger simply because there is no doctor or because medicine is not available in time.

In response to this suffering, the International Medical Relief Association “Medics” seeks, through the Mobile Medical Teams project (Medics Team), to deliver healthcare to displaced people and affected communities in Al Jazirah State and neighboring villages through a mobile medical clinic that reaches areas deprived of services and gives patients the chance to receive treatment without the hardship of traveling in search of medical care.

The project aims to provide examination, diagnosis, and treatment services, as well as essential medicines and laboratory tests, in addition to health education and referral of cases that need advanced care. The medical team is planned to operate five days a week, for eight hours a day, to provide care for between 100 and 150 patients daily, while giving priority to children, women, pregnant women, the elderly, and people with chronic diseases.

For a child suffering from illness, a mother worried about her family’s health, or an elderly person who needs medicine regularly, the arrival of a medical team can make a huge difference in their lives. With your contribution to this project, you help us bring the doctor and medicine to those whom the conditions of war and displacement are unable to reach in the hospital, and you give patients the chance to receive treatment, relieve pain, and restore hope.
