Performing Surgical Operations for Patients in Need

About the project:

In Syria, the effects of war continue to cast a shadow over the lives of thousands of patients waiting for a chance to receive treatment, amid deteriorating health facilities, a shortage of medical staff and surgical supplies, and rising treatment costs that are beyond the reach of many families. Between an injured person in need of urgent intervention, a child waiting for an operation to restore their health, and a patient fearing their condition will worsen, surgery turns from an essential medical service into a distant hope.

In response to this suffering, the International Medical Relief Association «Medics» is launching the Surgical Operations Project in Syria, aiming to carry out more than 80 surgical operations for the most in-need patients across various Syrian governorates, while giving priority to displaced people, poor families, war wounded, children, women, and the elderly whose living conditions prevent them from obtaining the necessary treatment.

The project includes performing minor, medium, and major surgical operations in multiple specialties, including general surgery, orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology, cardiology, and ear, nose, and throat, in cooperation with specialized medical teams and accredited hospitals and health centers. It also includes providing the necessary medical care and medications after the operations, and following up on cases to ensure safe recovery, contributing to saving lives, reducing permanent disabilities, and easing the financial burden on affected families.

Behind every surgical operation is a person waiting for a new chance at life .. a child looking forward to regaining their health, a father hoping to return to supporting his family, and a patient dreaming of избавение from pain that has accompanied them for a long time. By contributing to this project, you can be part of their journey to recovery, and help turn their painful waiting into a real opportunity for treatment, healing, and renewed hope.
